Nepal U-19 Squad Announced for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the 14-member Nepal U-19 Women’s squad for the upcoming ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers, with Puja Mahato named as captain.
CAN revealed the final squad on Wednesday, which was selected from the 18 players who had been part of a closed training camp. The team will be competing in the ICC event scheduled for November 2024.

The ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier will take place in November. The winner of the tournament will secure a spot in the 2025 ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Malaysia in January 2025.
The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, with four teams competing: Nepal, UAE, Thailand, and Kuwait. Nepal’s matches are scheduled as follows:
November 6: Nepal vs. Thailand
November 7: Nepal vs. Kuwait
November 9: Nepal vs. UAE
November 10: Nepal vs. Thailand
November 12: Nepal vs. Kuwait
November 13: Nepal vs. UAE
Nepal will aim to perform strongly to secure their place in the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup next year.
