Sandeep has been picked by Carribean Premier League side, St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots for $5000 in the CPL draft held at London. Prior to this, Sandeep was acquired by Delhi Daredevils for the premium cricket tournament India Premier League.
Sandeep was picked in the 13th round of the draft by the Chris Gayle captained side. Chris Gayle, who captained the same side last season, was picked for this season too at a price of $160000.
Gayle and Lamichhane are currently in Zimbabwe to play the ICC World Cup Qualifiers for their respective nation.
The fifth season of the Caribbean Premier League is going to start in August. The previous edition was won by Shahrukh Khan’s Knight Riders. Last season, St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots lost to Knight Riders in the final by 3 wickets.
Along with Chris Gayle and Sandeep Lamichhane, they have picked international players like Ervin Lewis, Carlos Braithwaite, Ben Cutting and Graeme Cremer.
Sandeep came into lime light after getting picked by Delhi Daredevils in the auction of Indian Premier League. After his sublime performance in the recently held ICC WCL Division-2, his chance was even more boosted to get picked in the CPL draft.
