Nepali cricket star Sandeep Lamichhane’s participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States and West Indies, is now uncertain. The leg-spinner was denied a visa by the US embassy, throwing his involvement in the tournament into question.
Lamichhane took to social media on Wednesday to announce the visa rejection. Other Nepali players have already reached the USA for the T20 World Cup.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is likely to explore all possible avenues to resolve the visa issue and secure Lamichhane’s participation in the World Cup.
