The former captain of the Nepali cricket team, Sandeep Lamichhane, is set to leave for America in a few days to participate in the T20 World Cup.
Chatur Bahadur Chand, president of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), confirmed that Sandeep will fly to America within a few days.
“All the necessary arrangements have been made for Sandeep’s participation by the ICC. CAN is urgently preparing to send him to America,” Chand said in a conversation with WicketNepal. “There has been a delay due to some technical problems. However, it is confirmed that he will go and he will fly in a few days.”
Following Lamichhane’s acquittal by the Patan High Court last week, after being accused of rape, the way for his participation in the World Cup has been cleared.
