CAN Secretary and former Nepal captain Paras Khadka has teased major surprises for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2. Speaking on Sudurpaschim Royals’ podcast, he hinted at exciting features like bowling speed and six-distance tracking — but asked fans to wait for the official reveal.
He confirmed floodlight matches will be part of the season and said the auction date and full schedule will be announced soon.
Paras also emphasized that 2025 is a milestone year for women’s cricket, with record training camps, victory over UAE, and qualification for the Global Qualifier. “We’re prioritizing women’s cricket from U-16 upwards — it’s key to Nepal’s future as a full ICC member,” he said.
Confident about Nepal qualifying for the T20 World Cup, he added, “Once the team returns, NPL Season 2 will be a national celebration.”
