Nepal cricket team’s preparatory close camp for the tour of England and Netherlands has started from 10th June, Friday.
Nepal will play against Merylebone Cricket Club (MCC), one of the oldest club in cricketing history at known home of cricket, Lord’s Ground on July 19 in the occasion of 200 years of bilateral relationship between Nepal and UK before coming back from England to tour Netherlands for the fourth round of World Cricket League Championship (WCLC).
This camp is especially for the upcoming England tour and Nepal will complete their final round of preparation for the Netherlands tour after returning from England on July 22.
Team’s head coach Jagat Tamatta said they are focusing on fast bowlers as Netherlands is helpful for seam bowler, “We have experience of playing in Netherlands where the wickets help fast bowlers. We have called on few fast bowlers in the camp and that will help us”.
The close camp included all the players from the winning team of third round of WCLC matches against Namibia at Kirtipur ground along with fast bowlers Lalit Singh Bhandari, Dipesh Shrestha, Nandan Yadav, Avinash Karn and Avinash Bohora, all rounders Aarif Sheikh and Sunil Dhamala.
