West Indies Thrash Nepal; Bhurtel Wins Player of the Series

Nepal suffered a defeat against West Indies in the third match of the ongoing Unity Cup T20I series in the UAE. West Indies beat Nepal by 10 wickets.

Chasing a modest target of 123 runs set by Nepal, West Indies reached the target in just 12.2 overs without losing a single wicket. Opener remained unbeaten on 74 off 45 balls, while Ackeem Auguste stayed not out on 41 runs.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Nepal were bowled out for 122 runs in 19.5 overs. For Nepal, opener Kushal Bhurtel top-scored with 39 runs, while captain Rohit Paudel scored 17, Sundeep Jora 14, and Kushal Malla 12 runs.

Despite a decent start of 37 without loss in the powerplay, Nepal lost all their wickets after adding just 90 more runs.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s opening batter and in-form all-rounder Kushal Bhurtel was named the Player of the Series in the Unity Cup T20I series held in the UAE.

Bhurtel was awarded for his all-round performances, including strong batting in the final match and impressive bowling and fielding displays in the earlier games. He scored 6, 2, and 39 runs in the three matches, and took 2 and 3 wickets in the first and second games, respectively.

Additionally, Bhurtel was outstanding in the field, taking some brilliant catches in the first two matches.

Nepal had already secured the historic series win after claiming victories in the first two matches, though West Indies dominated completely in the third game.
