The third edition of the the Century Bank Corporate Super Sixes will be held from 19th to 23rd of October in the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. The announcement was made today in a press meet called upon by the organizers SS Events Pvt Ltd.
The tournament will be played between 24 different corporate houses divided into 8 groups with 3 teams in each. The top 2 from each group will progress to the Pre-Quarter Final, from where the tournament will enter into the knock-out phase culminating in a final. The matches from Quarter Finals onward will be live telecasted. The tournament, to be played with white balls in coloured clothings , is organized by SS Events Pvt. Ltd while Cricket Assosciation of Nepal (CAN) will provide the technial support.
Raman Shiwakoti, CEO of SS Events, further stated that the tournament will be played in a six-a-side format with the deadline for the registration set as October 14th. The entry fee is fixed at Rs. 65000 and the teams will be registed on first come basis. Speaking in the meet Shiwakoti said that the concept was conceptualized by the SS Events (P) Ltd. itself to bring out the recreational value to build the relationship among various corporate houses.
He further stated that gift hamper and trophy will be provided for winner, runner up, Man of the Series, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder with total budget of the event estimated to be 25 Lakh. Likewise, thewinner of the tournament will receive a free entry in the next edition.
Sipradi Trading are the defending champions and Nabil Bank is runner up of “2nd Century Bank Corporate Super Sixes 2015”. Likewise, Civil Bank were the winners and NIC Asia Bank the runner up in its 1st edition.
