Nepal’s 23 run is the lowest total in the history of Nepalese Women’s Cricket.
Talking about Lowest score before this game Nepal Women’s were all out for 26 runs twice against Bangladesh. One was in ACC Women’s cricket final in 2007 were deciding to bat first Nepal Managed to score 26 with the loss of 8 wicket is 18 over’s.
Next was just after 7 years in 2015 when Nepal Faced Bangladesh in Quarter Final of Women’s Asian games. Nepal chasing down the target of 108 presented by Bangladesh once again managed to score 26 runs with the loss of all wickets.
Nepali Women’s team invited to bat first only managed to score 23 runs with the loss of all wickets. Once again Nepali Women’s batting line up collapsed as 8 of the bats-women were out without opening their account. . Jyoti Pandey scored 16 runs which is only the double figure in Score card while Sarita Magar and Rubina Chettri scored 4 and 1 runs respectively. Rest of 8 bats-women were out for 0 runs.
For Sri Lanka, Sugandika Kumari and Inoka Ranaweera took 3 wickets each and Osani Ranasinghe smashed 2 wickets. Coming down to bat Sri Lanka Women’s chased down a small target easily in just 4.3 over’s over with the lost of just two wicket. Hasini Parera scored 17 not out and opener Yosada Mendis scored 4 runs. Karuna Bhandari and Rubina Chhetry took 1-1 wicket each.
