Nepal’s women cricket team’s captain Rubina Chhetri is all set to join the Melbourne Renegades this season’s Women’s Big Bash League|WBBL02 as an Associate Rookie.
She is one of the eight-player selected as an Associate Rookie from six different countries. According to ICC, they may get the chance to represent respective teams if their regular players get injured. Women Big Bash League season 2 will start from January 10 and this program was started from (starting of the tournament) last year to give match exposure to the players from non-traditional cricket countries.
Along with Rubina Chhetri from Nepal, Emma Lai from Hong Kong, Gaby Lewis and Kim Garth from Ireland, Kathryn Bryce from Scotland, Konio Oala and Ravini Oa from PNG and Li Yingying from China are the Associate Rookie for WBBL02.
