7th National Games has started from Today in Purbanchal. All the fixtures of Men’s Cricket will be played at new venue in Baijya Nathpur, Biratnagar.
In the Opening day of 7th National Games, Men’s Cricket Armed Police Force (APF) defeated Mid-Western Development Region (MWDR) by 26 runs in the first match of 7th National Games held in Biratnagar. Armed Police Force invited to bat first managed to post 145 for 4 in 20 over’s. For APF Sandeep Sunar scored 51 of 45 balls. MWDR chasing the target of 146 could only post 119 for 6 in their 20 overs. Captain Paras Khadka took 3 wickets in his 4 over conceding just 12 runs. ( Scorecard )
In the second match of the day Central Development Region (CDR) defeated Eastern Development Region (EDR) by just 4 runs. Central Development Region elected to bat first managed to score 120 for 9 in 20 over’s. For CDR Jitendra Thakuri scored 31 of 37 balls.
EDR chasing the target of 121 managed to score 115 for 9 in their 20 overs. Haseem Ansari’s 3 wickets in his 4 over helped CDR to win a close encounter against EDR by 4 runs. ( Scorecard )
Tomorrow’s first game of the day will be played between Far Western Development Region (FWDR ) AND Tribhuwan Army Club ( TAC ) while Western Development Region ( WDR ) will be facing Nepal Police Club (NPC) in 2nd match of the day.
