Khukuri thrash Shankarnagar in Rupendehi Super League Cricket Opener

Lumbini Khukuri Club defeated Shankarnagar by 102 runs in the opening match of the Nepal Telecom Rupendehi Super League Cricket being played at Siddhartha Stadium, Bhairahawa.

In the group A match winning the toss and batting first Khukuri Club scored 213 runs before getting all out in 36.2 overs. U-19 opener and man of the match Shankar Rana top scored for Khukuri with 80 runs, while veteran cricketer Antim Thapa added 55 runs. Sunil Poudel bagged four wickets for Shankarnagar, while Dhiraj Shahi and Dipu Yadav bagged 2 wickets each.

In response Shankarnagar folded for mere 112. Lucky Pandey top scored for Shankarnagar with top score of 46 runs while Jitendra Sahani contributed with 19 runs.Shah Alam picked up 3 wickets for Khukuri while Lal Bahadur Adhikari picked up two.

Rupendehi Super League Cricket is being organized by Rupendehi Cricket Association at Siddhartha stadium, Bhairahawa. The winner of the tournament bags Rs.50,000, while the runners up will take home Rs. 25,000.
