Western Reach Semis: Rupendehi Super League

Western Cricket Club qualified for the semi final of Division “A” Rupendehi Super League, after registering their second win of the tournament. In the group C match played at Siddhartha Stadium in Bhairahawa Westerns defeated the defending champions New Horizon Cricket Club by 53 runs. Westerns are the first team to reach semi final of the tournament.

In a low scoring match, Westerns posted 131 after winning the toss and batting batting first. Bikram Bhusal top scored for Westerns with 34, Devendra Somare contributed with 16 and Adil Khan made 15 runs. Bishal Somare bagged 4 wickets for Horizon to restrict Westerns to a low total. Rahul Prajapati, Ganes Gaudel bagged 2 wickets each.

Defending a small total Adhil Khan and Bikram Bhusal bagged 3 wickets each as Horizon folded for 78 runs. Bishal Khatri top scored for New Horizon with 26 runs.

Bhusal was adjudged the player of the match for his all round performance.
