A terrific batting display from Nasir Hussain was almost enough to see Bangladesh over the line against Nepal on Wednesday.
Winning the toss and deciding to bowl first, Nepalese team started quite well as they chipped in 3 quick wickets with just 15 runs on the board. After 3 quick wickets sensible partnership between Nasir Hussain and Mominul Haq made foundation for Bangladesh score of 257-9 in 50 overs. Mominul Haq scored 67 of 78 balls whereas Nasir Hussain scored 105 runs in 115 balls.For Nepal Avinash Karn took 3 wickets in his 8 overs spell conceding 46 runs. Whereas Sandeep Lamichhane managed to pick up 2 wickets in his 10 over spell conceding 41 runs.
In reply Nepal Managed to score 174 for the loss of all wickets in 42.3 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee and debutante Dilip Nath some how held Nepalese innings in the middle order. Dipendra scored 56 of 85 balls while Dilip managed 41 in 62 balls whereas Binod Bhandari contributed 33 runs in 23 balls. For Bangladesh Rahatul Ferdous Javed picked up 4 wickets in his 7 over conceding 45 runs destroying Nepalese Batting lineup. Saif Uddin supported Rahatul from another end as he chipped in with 3 wickets just conceding 22 runs in 8.3 overs.

Bangladesh won the match by 83 runs registering their second consecutive Victory in ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Nepal will play its 3rd game on 30th of March against Hong Kong.
