Pakistan u-23 defeated Nepal by 6 wickets to register their first win in ACC Emerging team Asia Cup being held in Bangladesh.
Winning the toss and deciding to bowl first, Pakistan u-23 restricted Nepal to 179 -9 in 50 0vers. Contribution from Sarad Veswakar and Sunil Dhamala in the middle overs helped Nepal to post a respectable total. Sunil scored 43 runs in 125 balls whereas Sarad scored 38 in 59 balls. For Pakistan u-23 Ghulam Mudassar chipped in with 5 wickets in his 10 over spell just conceding 25 runs.
In reply Pakistan U-23 managed 183 runs with the loss of 4 wickets from 45.1 overs. Although it turned into a convincing win at the end. Imam UL Haq played a not out innings of 105 in 136 balls. Nepalese bowlers did try to fightback but with just 179 runs on board it was difficult against a test playing nation. For Nepal Sandeep Lamichanne and Gyanendra Malla took 2 wickets each.
Nepal will be facing Bangladesh u-23 Tomorrow in the next fixture Of ACC Emerging team Asia cup.
