Nepal has announced an 18 member squad to play the ICC under-19 world cup Asia qualifier division-1. The tournament will take place from 15th to 25th of July in Singapore.
A 3-member team consisting of Nepali cricket team head coach Jagat Tamata, under-19 national cricket team coach Binod Das and ICC-Asia chief development officer Venkatapathi Raju shortlisted the 18 member squad this Monday.
Kamal Airee, Avinash Karn, Ravindra Sahi, Bhim Sharki, Shuvankar Urau and Nandan Yadav, who were the members of U-19 Nepali cricket team that played U-19 Asia Cup 2016 last december weren’t able to retain their place in the squad this time around.
Leg Spinner Bikram Bhusal, Left arm Spinner Sahab Alam were able to make it to the squad. Similarly, Left arm pacers Rijan Dhakal, Rashid Khan, Kishor Mahato and Batsmen Pranit Thapa and Sandip Jora were picked in the squad. Sushant Singh, the wicket-keeper batsman was also able to find himslef in the squad.

The Asia Qualifier division 1 comprises of 4 teams :- Nepal, Afghanistan, Malaysia and the host Singapore. The winner will qualify through to the ICC U-19 world cup which will be held in New Zealand in January, 2018.
