Nepali Players Create History In Finland

A Finnish cricket team, named Nordic Warriors Sports Club 2nd XI, comprising of Nepali origin players created history in Finland by setting the country record for all time highest run scored in an innings by a team in any format. The team was led by Chetan Singh.

Scorecard 

Nordic Warriors Sports Club 2nd XI scored 462 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 39.2 overs against Greater Helinski CC 2nd XI and won comprehensively by 330 runs. This was a 40-over match played under Division 4 cricket in Finland.

Skipper Chetan Singh hit a double ton for Nordic Warriors Sports Club 2nd XI, bundling up 226 runs in just 100 balls with 23 fours & 18 sixes, setting yet another record for the highest individual runs scored in any format in Finland.

Finland organizes a cricket league every summer categorizing teams into 4 Divisions namely  Division 1, 2, 3 & 4. Nordic Warriors Sports Club 2nd XI currently stand at 2nd position in division 4.
