Nepal electing to bat first after winning the toss were bowled out for 168. The top order failed once again but Dipendra Singh Airee glued the side together with 54. In reply, Singapore started well and were 76/1 at one stage. Nepali bowlers pegged them back but a win was within Singapore’s reach at 139/5 with 30 runs to win off 42 balls with 5 wickets in hand.
Once again, star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane got the vital breakthrough and forced an opening and the bowlers handed Nepal a victory as Singapore lost last 5 wickets for 7 runs.
