Paras and Mahboob’s team to face Sinhalese Sports Club in the final

Singapore Emerging Starts, which consists of top Neplaese cricketers Paras Khadka and Mahboob Alam will face Sri Lankan Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in the final of 5th SCC International Twenty20.

SSC had beaten Stars in their group ‘B’ encounter and the club from Singapore will be eyeing vengeance in the final which starts from 1 PM Nepal Time today.

In the first semi final, SES XI defeated Madras Cricket Club by 6 wickets. It was an all round batting performance by the club from Singapore. Man of the match Chetan Surwawanshi top scored with an unbeaten 42 from 29 balls whereas Nepal skipper Paras Khadka scored a quick 36 runs from 20 balls including 3 boundaries and 2 sixes.Earlier, Ananta Krishna took 2 wickets while Paras and Pramod Raja bagged in a wicket each to limit the club from India for 185/4 in a glorious batting wicket. Swapnil S top scored for Madras with a well played 50.

The second semi final was a one sided affair with Sinhalese Sports Club from Sri Lanka dominating the match all the way through and securing an easy victory over SCG XI by 143 runs. Sammu Asan played a blistering inning for Sinhalese Sports Club scoring 98 from just 39 balls with 5 fours and 9 sixes. Chasing a mammoth target of 240 runs in 20 overs, SCG were limited to mere 96 runs in 15.4 overs. Ramesh Mendis anf Jeffrey Vandersay took 3 wickets each for Sinhalese.

It will definitely be a tough climb up the hill for Singapore Emerging Stars in the final but the entire team including Paras and Mahboob will be looking to put in their best efforts in the ultimate match of the tournament.
