The first match of Day-8 in Dhangadi Premier League was washed out due to rain. The match between CYC Attariya and Mahendranagar United was abandoned without a ball bowled as both teams were forced to share a point each.
The other encounter of the day was also affected by rain. Dhangadi and Rupandehi went neck to neck in a 8 over match. Sonu Tamang was the hero of he innings smashing 34 runs from 14 balls with 4 sixes and a four. His innings contributed in posting 76 runs from 8 overs. Rohan Mustafa was the other batsman to reach the double score for Dhangadi with 15 runs.
For Rupandehi, Sushan Bhari took 3 wickets while Dipesh Shrestha bagged 2 wickets. Skipper Shakti Gauchan and Sagar Pun also grabbed a wicket each to their name.
Rupandehi could only manage 73 runs in their 8 over losing 5 wickets. Sagar pun’s 33 went in vain as none other batsman could support him from other end. Wicket Keeper batsman Dipak Prasad played a run a ball innings with 16 from 15 balls but it was not good enough to prevent the loss.
