Sharad Vesawkar appointed as Nepal Cricket School Head Coach

Veteran Nepali batter Sharad Vesawkar has been appointed as the head coach of Nepal Cricket School (NCS). The 33-year-old batter last played for Nepal in February this year.

Nepal Cricket School (NCS), which is located at Ratopul, is set to resume after three years. The academy, which was established in 2015, will come into operation from this week under the new management. Man Can do (MCD) will run the academy.

Sunil Thapa, the founder of MCD, believes the academy will provide standard training and facilities for young aspiring cricketers who want to pursue their future in cricket. The preparation to operate academy is in the final stage.

“The popularity of cricket in Nepal is increasing and the number of people who are looking for a future in it is also increasing day by day. Being a cricket player myself, we are going to run an academy to prepare players who will represent nationally and internationally in the future by investing in the game that we are passionate about. We are doing homework to give level training at the academy.” Thapa told.

The academy expects to aid during the rainy season and provide indoor net practice at night as well.
