Nepali national Women’s Team, which is preparing for the upcoming Asian Qualifiers for the World Cup, is currently undergoing comprehensive training session in Tribhuvan University Ground in Kirtipur.
The training sessions, which extends from 9 am in the morning to 3 pm in the afternoon, has completed its two weeks today. Former Nepali player Raju Basnyat is monitoring the sessions while National Men’s Team coach Jagat Tamata is also co-coordinating the associated matters.
The tournament which also features China, Hong Kong and Thailand will start on October 9th. The winner of the tournament, which will be played in double round-robin format without any finals, will be selected for the Global Qualifier scheduled to be held next year.
The 18 member preliminary squad announced earlier is going through the sessions. The squad member will be cut short to be 14 at the end of this month before making the trip to Hong Kong.
