Dave Whatmore visited Himalayan Cricket Academy, Kritipur yesterday to share tips and tricks of the trade with students of the newly established cricket school. Fittness trainer Rajesh Chauhan also visited the academy along with Whatmore
Dave Whatmore was invited to Nepal by Bat and Ball Foundation. He as been coaching the national side for past 1 week .
“Improve your skills, because when you get older, a skillful player will be able to handle difficult condition”, said Whatmore to the players. “If you are a batsman, the ball is coming quicker and if you are a bowler, the batsman is getting better”, explained Watmore as the players listened alertly.
“You are very lucky. This is a very good facility”, said Whatmore praising the academy.
Chauhan who has worked as a fitness trainer with test side Zimbabwe in the past informed the players about importance of proper diet and exercises.
“This is an incredible learning opportunity for our students”, said a delighted Bhuwan Karki.
Himalayan Cricket Academy, Kirtipur was established few months by national players Pradeep Airee and Bhuwan Karki.
