Breaking: The Supreme Court has allowed Sandeep Lamichhane to go abroad

The Supreme Court of Nepal has also allowed cricketer Sandeep Lamichane to go abroad to play cricket. But it is mandatory to inform the court within 15 days after the player has returned to Nepal.

In September 2022, when he was playing in the CPL, he was accused of raping a 17-year-old girl. In 2023 Feb 2 after the spend a jail in some months he was released on bail due to don’t prove the accused rape.

After this, he plays in the ICC World Cricket League II against Namibia and Scotland in Kathmandu. He needed 13 wickets to become the highest wicket-taker in the series.

He can now play the match against PNG and the UAE in the UAE. Nepal played its first match today and won it. It is not decided whether Sandeep is going to the UAE or not. but most likely he is going to the UAE to play the series.

Sandeep is the 3rd-highest wicket-taker in ICC Cricket League 2 if he is able to complete the remaining 7 games. He could become the highest or second-highest wicket-taker. After this series, Nepal is going to play the match in Nepal against UAE, and PNG started on 9 march. It is a win-win situation for Nepal in the ICC Cricket League 2.
